Itinerary

Day 1Zagreb

Meet and greet at Zagreb airport with a private driver. Airport transfer to Hotel in Zagreb, check in and a relaxing afternoon or private coffee walking tour to “shake yourself” after flight and prepare all senses for Croatia Culinary Tour. Overnight in Zagreb

Day 2Zagreb cooking class

Breakfast in the Hotel and meeting a local guide for Cooking class day in the Capital of Croatia. Walk through the center to Dolac Market, Zagreb’s main open-air farmers’ market with organic products from all over Croatia. The palace where you can find definitely all needed ingredients for local meals and cooking class. Have a short coffee after shopping and indulge yourself in cooking with a private guide/chef. “Tasty” lunch afterwards and leisure time to enjoy on your own in the biggest city in Croatia, or maybe try famous Cheese rolls at Vincek pastry shop near Ban Jelacic square – main square . Overnight in Zagreb

Day 3Zagreb - Motovun - Rovinj

Packing and morning pick up in Zagreb for transfer to Rovinj and special food tour and tasting in Motovun area, region of Istria. Comfortable three hour drive with a stopover at half of the way in a truly unique area, even in Europe. Famous Motovun forests are hiding truffles where your goal is to find them with the help of a guide and dogs on a nearby family farm. Group tour where you will meet new people, train dogs, hike, find truffles and burn calories followed by lunch prepared by hosts on a family farm. Afternoon arrival to Rovinj and overnight.

Day 4Rovinj - Pula - Rovinj

Easy going day filled with history, architecture and, of course, food and olive oil. Flexible pick up time in the morning and drive only 45 minutes to the biggest city in the region of Istria – Pula. Pula offers so many Roman sights, but the most important one is the Roman Amphitheatre, similar to the Colosseum in Rome. Exploring Roman heritage in Pula with a private local guide on a walking tour which lasts around 1.5 hours followed by Olive oil tasting in the Museum of Olive Oil in Pula. Optional wine tasting and lunch on nearby vineyards and return to Rovinj. Overnight in Rovinj.

Day 5Rovinj - Plitvice Lakes

Driving from Rovinj to Plitvice takes roughly 4 hours so an earlier pick up is recommended. Optional stopover in Opatija for a short break and arrival to Plitvice Lakes around 2PM. Plitvice Lakes consist of sixteen lakes that are joined together with wooden walking paths and boat line across the biggest lake Kozjak. Waterfalls and swings really make an unforgettable sense of the magnitude of magnificent nature. After an exhausting tour of Lower lakes and part of Upper lakes, which will take three hours in total and a distance of 4 kilometres / 2.5 miles, it is time to visit some of the local restaurants and try the local food from the region of Lika. Famous potato, meat specialities and local cheese are main food preferences. Overnight at Plitvice Lakes.

Day 6Plitvice Lakes - Zadar

Transfer and tour from Plitvice Lakes area to Zadar with stopover at Pag Island. Drive through the longest tunnel in Croatia Sv. Rok, long 5.65km on Highway A1 under the longest mountain chain in Croatia – Velebit. Remarkable difference between forest of Lika and rocky mountainous part of Northern Dalmatia presented on Pag Island. See how locals are preparing cheese from sheeps which are eating small grass hidden between rocks full of salt from the Adriatic sea. Learn about the cheese production, see ageing room and tasting various cheeses awarded as the best cheese in Central and Eastern Europe with special aroma and taste. After cheese tasting, discover a “white gold – salt. Choose between an educational Salt museum tour, Saltworker Experience and work at nature sea salt at saltwark Nin. Afternoon arrival to Zadar and catching the most beautiful sunset in Europe! Leisure evening in Zadar.

Day 7Zadar - Split

Explore and experience Roman Heritage with a private local guide in a walking tour of Zadar. Visit of Sea organs – famous set of music instruments installed in the promenade of Zadar which are producing music from waves. Visit UNESCO sites, church of St. Donatus and stroll through the old town of Zadar located on the peninsula on a 2h walking tour. Drive from Zadar to Split with a stopover in Primosten to enjoy a famous local dish, Dalmatian Peka. Meat cooked under the bell on a family farm. Afternoon arrival to Split and leisure evening. Overnight in Split

Day 8Split Speedboat Fishing Tour

Earlier morning start to increase chances of good catch in Adriatic Sea on a private fishing tour with the captain. With the crystal-clear Adriatic sea and blue sky, among the sun’s rays of the summer, it is time to experience the breathtaking adrenaline. Round up your day with grilling your fish on some of the islands of Dalmatian Archipelago such as Brac, Hvar, Solta and enjoy your tasty catch! Return to Split in the afternoon and overnight in Split.

Day 9Split - Ston - Dubrovnik

Transfer to Dubrovnik with a stopover in Ston to enjoy its unique unspoiled nature followed by Oyster tasting near Ston directly from the Oyster farm. Short stopover on mainland or boat tour with presentation of oyster farms combined with wine. Additionally, optional wine tasting in nearby wineries at Peljesac peninsula. After leisure time in Ston it is time to try fresh seafood in the famous restaurant Konoba Bakus. Optional afternoon walking tour of Dubrovnik with private local guide. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 10Dubrovnik cooking class

Last day of the tour is reserved for educational and tasty time in Dubrovnik area on a family farm. Learn how to cook Dalmatian delicacies with a local family using all organic ingredients and food from the garden. Prepare traditional meals, eat and have fun together in a group tour. Experience the real traditional flavours of Dalmatia while you learn how to prepare and cook an authentic dish which you might use again as you come back home! Overnight in Dubrovnik.
