Packing and morning pick up in Zagreb for transfer to Rovinj and special food tour and tasting in Motovun area, region of Istria. Comfortable three hour drive with a stopover at half of the way in a truly unique area, even in Europe. Famous Motovun forests are hiding truffles where your goal is to find them with the help of a guide and dogs on a nearby family farm. Group tour where you will meet new people, train dogs, hike, find truffles and burn calories followed by lunch prepared by hosts on a family farm. Afternoon arrival to Rovinj and overnight.
Easy going day filled with history, architecture and, of course, food and olive oil. Flexible pick up time in the morning and drive only 45 minutes to the biggest city in the region of Istria – Pula. Pula offers so many Roman sights, but the most important one is the Roman Amphitheatre, similar to the Colosseum in Rome. Exploring Roman heritage in Pula with a private local guide on a walking tour which lasts around 1.5 hours followed by Olive oil tasting in the Museum of Olive Oil in Pula. Optional wine tasting and lunch on nearby vineyards and return to Rovinj. Overnight in Rovinj.
Driving from Rovinj to Plitvice takes roughly 4 hours so an earlier pick up is recommended. Optional stopover in Opatija for a short break and arrival to Plitvice Lakes around 2PM. Plitvice Lakes consist of sixteen lakes that are joined together with wooden walking paths and boat line across the biggest lake Kozjak. Waterfalls and swings really make an unforgettable sense of the magnitude of magnificent nature. After an exhausting tour of Lower lakes and part of Upper lakes, which will take three hours in total and a distance of 4 kilometres / 2.5 miles, it is time to visit some of the local restaurants and try the local food from the region of Lika.
