Itinerary

Day 1Zagreb

Meet and greet at Zagreb airport with your private driver. Transfer from the airport to Hotel in Zagreb. Depending on your flight arrival time, optional walking tour of Zagreb with a private local guide to experience history or leisure evening in the capital of Croatia.

Day 2Zagreb - Ljubljana - Bled - Zagreb

Day trip to Slovenia and enjoying the most interesting sights in one day! With just an hour and a half drive you will reach the Bled Lake area. Visit Bled Castle (Blejski Grad), Castle built at the top of the hill to enjoy magnificent views on Bled Lake. Try delicious Bled Cream cake (Kremsnita) and walk around the Lake for a full experience of Julian Alps. With just a 20 minutes ride from Bled to Ljubljana, you will quickly reach the capital of Slovenia and enjoy a beautiful combination of modern architecture and traditional historical sights and buildings. Preseren square, Krek square, Tivoli park, Cathedral of Saint Nicholas are just some sights which you will explore with a private guide and enjoy in a charming walk alongside Ljubljanica river. Late afternoon arrival back to Zagreb and overnight.

Day 3Zagreb - Sremska Mitrovica - Belgrade

Transfer and tour between the capitals, with a stopover in Sremska Mitrovica to have lunch and enjoy a short walk in the city center. As the administrative center of the region of Vojvodina, Sremska Mitrovica offers an enjoyable walk alongside Sava river, a charming old town with lots of architectural sights and parks. With a population of only 40 000 people, it is ideal for an easy stroll, try local authentic Serbian dishes and have coffee on the main square or explore Roman ruins! Drive to Belgrade leisure time in the afternoon and overnight in Belgrade.

Day 4Belgrade

Private walking tour of Belgrade to experience rich culture, history and stunning architecture of the capital of Serbia. Place where traditional buildings and values meet modern architecture. Visit the Temple of St. Sava, places of Ex-Yugoslavia president Tito in the House of Flowers and museum of Yugoslavia. Walk through main street Knez Mihajlova and enjoy the main square Narodni Trg with a private local guide. With many tasty traditional dishes, you will have a chance to try some in excellent restaurants with recommendations from your guide. Leisure afternoon and overnight in Belgrade.

Day 5Belgrade - Visegrad - Sarajevo

Longer ride between the capital of Serbia and capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina which will take around 4h-5h depending on border crossing waiting. Stopover in Visegrad, an interesting place with a rich and complicated history. Sightseeing of a charming town located in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republic of Serbia – as its eastern federal unit). Discover the UNESCO bridge and have lunch or short coffee in this beautiful place. Drive to Sarajevo and afternoon arrival to settle and enjoy tasty Bosnian food in Bascarsija or relax after a longer driving day. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 6Sarajevo

Morning walking tour with a private local guide to learn about the complicated and “tough” history of this beautiful city. Located between mountains and a popular Jahorina ski-resort, this city offers a unique combination of harmony between Bosnians and Serbs. Eternal flame in the centre (Vjecna Vatra) symbolize Sarajevo liberators. Enjoy the famous Bascarsija full of small shops (bazaar), restaurants, bars offering Bosnian specialities related with Turkish – Ottoman food. Experience riding with a cable car to Trebevic mountain to enjoy panoramic views over this magnificent place. Leisure evening and overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 7Sarajevo - Mostar - Dubrovnik

Drive from Central Bosnia to the “Pearl of the Adriatic” – Dubrovnik. Interesting ride from Sarajevo to Mostar through the mountains and lakes of Jablanica will make your two hour ride enjoyable. Private walking tour of Mostar for about one hour and exploring Ottoman heritage through Bazaar, Old Bridge, Roman Catholic Cathedral and Mosques all located next to another! Place where the east meets the west is only divided by the Neretva river which will help you to cool down on hot Summer days. Enjoy tasty meat specialties in Sadrvan restaurant and continue your journey afterwards through the valley of Neretva and scenic route onwards to Dubrovnik. Late afternoon arrival and overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 8Dubrovnik

Explore Dubrovnik by foot with a private local guide. Whether you are history or Game of Thrones fan, you will find something interesting in this remarkable town. With a population of only 50 000 people, the fortified old town keeps secrets from ancient times, old Greeks and Romans. Discover, Church of St. Blaise, Sponza Palace, Onofrio’s Fountain and the impressive city walls as optional part of the extended walking tour. Stradun street, as the main street, is full of small shops, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy after history and culture lessons. Optional drive to Srdj Mountain for amazing panoramic views (preferable in sunset) or walk through Cavtat to expand the tour (driving required). Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 9Dubrovnik - Perast - Kotor - Podgorica

Moving from Croatia to Montenegro, a stopover in Kotor and overnight in the capital of Montenegro – Podgorica. Drive which includes border crossing, which might include waiting on the border, so earlier departure is recommended. Stopover in Perast as a beautiful island in Kotor Bay where the church “Our Lady of the Rocks’ ‘ has been built. With just a 30 minutes drive from Perast to Kotor, enjoy a private walking tour of a unique fortified town full of history and culture from Venetian empire to modern times. City full of cats, dogs with even a cat museum in the old town of Kotor. Enjoy in tasty food after walking tour with private guide and continue your journey to mountains of Montenegro (Monte Negro) to reach capital of Podgorica through old mountain road with stunning views on Kotor Bay (Boka Kotorska). Overnight in Podgorica.

Day 10Podgorica - Peja - Pristina

Drive from Capital of Montenegro to capital of Kosovo – Pristina with a stopover in Peja (Kosovo). Enjoy amazing views of the untouched nature in Rugova Canyon Viewpoint and spend time in Peja for shopping in the old Bazaar. Explore the old town and enjoy the slow paced town of western Kosovo. Stroll along the Lumbardhi Peja River in the centre or hike or enjoy other adventure activities based on your wishes. Afternoon arrival to Pristina and overnight in the capital of Kosovo. Afternoon walking tour of Pristina. Explore Mother Teresa boulevard, full of cafes, shops and restaurants to enjoy local food of Kosovo. Visit ethnographic museum and see the real historical connection between the United States and Kosovo.  Overnight in Kosovo.. Day 11Pristina - Skopje

Drive from Pristina to the capital of Northern Macedonia with a stopover in the natural miracle, Matka Canyon. Explore and experience the hidden gem of nature in a boat ride or walk inside a popular cave. Enjoy marvelous views before arrival to modern and traditional Skopje in late afternoon hours. Leisure time in the afternoon for shopping and enjoying the capital of Northern Macedonia. Overnight in Skopje.

Day 12Skopje

Morning private walking tour of Skopje, with a private local guide. Relaxing day before departure, to enjoy complicated and rich Macedonian history. Experience Old Bazaar as the second biggest bazaar after Istanbul. Visit Skopje’s Kale Fort and enjoy the beautiful city views. Historic walk through the main square of Alexander The Great, local market and historical sights of the old town of Skopje. We wanted to have winter tour and enjoyed a lot with Ivo and Mario’s guides. It was quiet in off season but so beautiful and interesting to see EX Yugoslavia countries. Great service from Experience Dalmatia!
