Description
Transfer Zagreb to Split via Plitvice Lakes Tour

Do not miss out on the opportunity to see Croatia’s largest and oldest national park on your transfer from Zagreb to Split (or Split to Zagreb transfer). You will set off in the direction of the Dalmatia region after our driver meets you at the location of your accommodation (or any other location).

You will be offered a brief stop at the Rastoke Village, located an hour and a half away from Zagreb. It will be a perfect introduction to your next stop since they are similar natural phenomena. Rastoke is commonly known as “the Small Lakes of Plitvice” because of that fact. This charming village is famous for its water-powered mechanical mills, many small waterfalls, and cascades. The first mill dates to the 17th century and represents a long history of the family business.

After Rastoke, next stop are Plitvice Lakes. This natural wonder has been listed at the UNESCO World Heritage register since 1979. With its 16 beautiful lakes and diverse flora and fauna, this national park is a paradise for nature lovers. Many endemic plants and rare animal species found their place under the sun here. Once you reach the park, you decide if you would like to have a guided tour of Plitvice lakes or perhaps experience it by yourself. Your sightseeing tour will be about 3 to 4 hours long, and it will start at entrance number 1. From there on, you will be able to explore the paths through the untouched forest area with or without a private local guide.

The lakes in the park are divided into two parts, Gornja Jezera (Upper Lakes) and Donja Jezera (Lower Lakes). You will see all of the Lower Lakes, part of the Upper Lakes and the Large (Great) Waterfall with this Plitvice lakes tour.  The Great Waterfall is undoubtedly the main attraction. It is 78 meters high, which makes it the highest waterfall in the park and Croatia. It would be a shame not to take at least a selfie in front of it, as it makes the perfect background. After sightseeing of Plitvice, you will meet your driver and head to Split.
