Complete itinerary of first day depends on your arrival time at Split airport, but we will focus on arriving around noon. And you have arrived! After a (long) fligh to Croatia, you will meet your driver at Split airport holding board with your name on it. After short conversation and getting to know each other you will be headed up your Hotel, Villa or Apartment in Split to check in. Once you have settled up, relaxed plan is to have walking tour of Split during evening your private local guide. He or she will meet you at your place (if it is close to Split city center) for a history tour and showing you sights of the city.
It is possible to extend this tour and have also wine tour combined with history walking tour of Split. Evening is reserved for you, to enjoy in nice restaurants in Split. We recommend Restaurant Bokeria (modern, traditional, but classy food) in Split City center, Restaurant Fetivi (traditional meals) and Restaurant Adriatic Graso with nice view on city and sea.
This day is reserved for a private boat tour in from Split to Hvar. Exploring the most amazing island in Croatia and Paklinski Islands in front of Hvar. It is possible to adjust the tour and see Zlatni rat beach, or Blue Lagoon with Trogir. On this day you will see the most of Dalmatian islands, nice and hidden beaches and bays, authentic Dalmatian cuisine in restaurants on waterfront and eventually have a private local guide in Hvar and learn something about its rich history. Walking up to Hvar fortress would be great to have an amazing views on Hvar town and Paklinski islands in front. This is a full day tour which starts in the morning between 8AM and 10AM till 6PM latest.
After sea experience day before, it is time to see experience Dalmatian inland! Day is reserved for the most beautiful National Park in Southern Dalmatia – Krka Waterfalls. Earlier pick up is recommended to beat the crowds, around 8AM. Swimming in the National Park is not allowed. Another sights which are interesting to visit on the way from Krka to Split are cities: Sibenik, Primosten and Trogir. So similar, but again, so much different in terms of architecture and history. We tend to keep itinerary bit flexible, so it is your call! On this day we can organize you to have an amazing local lunch, and maybe try famous local dish called „Dalmatian Peka“. Please check picture attached. Secret is in way of cooking meat, potatoes and vegetables slowly „under the bell“. With so many options, you will definitely like one!
Driving on most popular route in Croatia is something you need to experience! Often called Scenic route, starting from Neretva Valley to Dubrovnik is one of the most amazing roads in Europe! Lets, start from beggining. It is possible to have later pick up on this day (9AM – 10AM) and enjoy in first one hour of ride on smooth highway (A1) from Split to Neretva Valley. Getting of the highway does not mean that road is not smooth, but means it is truly amazing with magnificent overlooks on fields of fruits and vegetables in Neretva Valley and beautiful wine growing hills of Peljesac peninsula before crossing Bosnian border. There are so many stops to take amazing pictures and buy local fruit, honey, vegetables and juices. We recommend you to stop, strech your legs and buy some organic products. Bosnian border?? Yes, on this route there is short ride through Bosnia which lasts 15 minutes if there are no traffic jams. Only way to get from Split to Dubrovnik by car is getting through Bosnia, town Neum. After getting back to Croatia, you will see beautiful Ston bay and so many black fenders in nice shapes which means you are seeing the biggest oyster farms in Croatia. In Ston you can have: oyster tasting directly from the farm, oyster tasting and lunch with private boat, seafood or meat lunch in restaurant, wine tasting in nearby wineries. Let is know what sounds the best for you, and we will make it happen. Rest of the day is reserved for relaxing drive to Dubrovnik and leisure evening.
This day is relaxing day with few options. After so many activities, you’ve deserved to relax a bit with interesting attractions around Dubrovnik. Start in the morning is flexible, suggested around 10AM. Private driver would pick you up at your accommodation and drive to Dubrovnik city center where you would meet your private local guide. Here, we have first options. Standard history tour includes 1.5h walking and guiding without city visting Dubrovnik city walls. City walls visit require entrance fee of 27€, so it is your choice. Also, if you want to have Game of Thrones and History tour, city walls are requested and walking tour is 3h instead of 1.5h. Reason why you need to go to Dubrovnik Walls for Game of Thrones tour is because filming locations were on Walls and forts. After sightseeing of Dubrovnik old town, driver will meet you again and drive all the way to top of Srdj hill above Dubrovnik to enjoy in fascinating views over the city. We recommend to have lunch in restaurant Panorama or eventually in Cavtat later on. After enjoying in lunch or beautiful views on Srdj, plan is to visit Cavtat. Drive to beautiful small coastal town lasts only 25 minutes and you will have free time there to explore it on your own. Return to Dubrovnik and leisure evening on your own. In this day you can also combine: kayaking around Lokrum island, Dubrovnik room escape, Quad adventure on Srdj.
Once again, private boat tour, but this time in Dubrovnik archipelago. Similar, but again, so much different according to vegetation, rock cliffs and overall experience than boat tour in Split. Boat ride can inculude visit to Blue Cave (not that one on Island Vis, smaller, but still interesting) and beautiful beaches and bays which will leave you breathless. Route would be to Island Lokrum, visiting Elaphiti Islands near Dubrovnik with nice bays and crystal clear sea and some other smaller islands on the way. This area has more islands, but less popular than islands around Split. Lunch on some of Elaphiti Islands is recommended and you will have offered options by your skipper on request. Afternoon arrival back to Dubrovnik. We have different boats offered, so it depends on your budget and group size. Leisure evening in Dubrovnik.
