If you enjoy in beautiful sunsets and you are in Dalmatia, the one thing you cannot miss is the beautiful Zadar sunset and our private tour that will give you the most extraordinary experience you can get. When Alfred Hitchcock visited the city he said “Zadar has the most amazing sunset in the world, much more beautiful than the one in Key West, Florida.” And he didn’t even see the sunset next to the awe-inspiring architectural installment – Greeting to the sun, built to honor and complement this natural phenomenon.  Made up of 300 glass panels with small lights and solar modules underneath, the Greetings to the sun uses the power of the sun to produce magical light show with different colors and patterns emulating the movement of the sea that start. It starts from early evening accompanying the beautiful sunset and continues in late in night, and our guide will take you at best time to experience it in its fullest beauty.

Our Zadar excursion starts with a private car or a mini-van picking you up at your hotel or apartment and will take you directly to the beautiful historic center of Zadar. You can take a walk to explore the historic town of Zadar with its Land Gate Zadar, the Square of Five Wells and the Park of Queen Helen. You will walk through the lively street Kalelarga, the city’s main street since Roman times, until we come to city’s main symbol – the Church of St. Donat and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia – St Paul’s Cathedral.  To enjoy the beautiful sunset we will take you for dinner in a restaurant with great view that serves fresh fish and excellent Dalmatian specialties. After dinner we will  go to Zadar waterfront, a wonderful place to walk around with stunning view of the Zadar Channel, the islands Ugljan and Pasman, and the open sea. There you will enjoy in the sound of the Sea organ, a unique peace of architecture that uses the waves and current of the sea to play music. After the see organ tour your guide will take you to enjoy the beautiful sunset and the magnificent light show of the Greeting of the sun and the joyful relaxing atmosphere that surrounds it.

Our private tours have flexible itinerary to make the most of your time, needs and wishes. Whether you are a family with children or a group of friends ready for an adventure, our professional guides will customize the itinerary to offer you the best possible experience according to your preferences. Since the Greeting to the Sun tour is linked to the sunset time, our suggested itinerary is to go after lunch or about noon.
