This city is located on the coast of Montenegro. Surrounded by the sea, mountain St. John and river Škurda. The city is in its istory changed many rulers. Since 2006.,  Kotor became part of an independent Montenegro. Today this city by the sea has become a stronghold of diverse cultures. The landscape around Kotor is spectacular. This is also the city of famous traders and seafarers. The city is surrounded by a variety of fortifications from the Venetian period.


Kotor adopted the Eastern and Western forms of the EU and it is applied in their own way. In the city are facing many denominations. The coexistence of people share the Catholic and Orthodox faith. This town, port and municipalities since 1976 is on the UNESCO list of protected heritage. It has a well-developed infrastructure and with the road is very well connected with the nearby hinterland, the coast and Podgorica.

The Old City is the most famous part of the municipality of Kotor, where the remnants of the Kotor history, culture and traditions. The old town of Kotor is also characterized by a large number of monuments of medieval architecture, the churches, palaces, cathedrals and museums. It is famous Cathedral of St. Tryphon worth visiting.


The city is full of Mediterranean spirit, characterized by many winding streets and small squares. The town has many museums, maritime college, many institutes and theaters that are worth visiting. Kotor is proud of its numerous beaches that attract many tourists from  the whole world. Nearby are many famous Montenegrin towns that are also worth visiting such as Herceg Novi and Budva, which is widely known for good nightlife primarily. The Mediterranean sea is a town full of restaurants that will enliven your palate. For many squares you can try some of autophtonih dishes like the famous Montenegrin lamb, stews, sausages, ham and so on.
